Hopefully someone will answer this. How exactly do I get this game running> Would appreciate if someone listed the steps.

First you need a program to read CD-ROM .iso or .cue files. You can use the DAEMON tools, install it and open the .cue file inside of the downloaded .rar.

After this open the cue file, it will open like a normal directory, get all files and copy to your local disk.

(I was using a Windows 7 64 bits ) Try to open for the first time, it will crash with a strange message. Open the config.exe and close it. After this the game will run OK, if you want to read the japanese texts you’ll need to use a program called Microsoft Applocale to open this game like as it was running on a Japanese OS.

I hope someone answers this quick..
Anyway, how do I access the config and successfully change the uncheck the windowed mode box? It keeps giving me this ‘config.txt’ message, and refuses to, but I can’t decipher it enough to get what it means. Anyone else knows?

If you are running the iso virtually or you burned into a disc copy RefRain folder in your PC. Then go to config.exe and then in the upper left part choose your resolution(Should be the one below your screen setting). Uncheck the first check box that is below “RefRain” text box leaving his child check box marked. To save the settings go the lower part and hit the second button from the left and then first one from the right.

It might ask you to update the game (if internet is on) just say yes(y) the first time then No(N) the second time.

      And you are done :)
