It looks like mix of VN and STG, but can't tell for sure, don't have full version.

Your mission starts now, are you ready?
Oh, wrong game.
How could you not buy this? It has Tony's artwork in it! Hell, I'm getting this as soon as it comes out! Yes, the very same Tony that does that awesome art that makes you want to, ermm... Well, yes, that Tony!
Valhellio is a small PC commercial release brought to you by Ideastock/Elements. I have no idea if these guys did something previously. I'm pretty sure they did though.
The game is an old school STG mixed with a Visual Novel component to portray Tony's artwork.
Mechanics-wise, the game seems to fuse Ketsui's proximity scoring (by point blanking without activating the slow movement you seem to rise a multiplier way faster) with a Raiden approach (must be all the honeycombs, although honey=bees=Hibachi) and some bullet hell touches. A lot of scenery destruction and the machines remind me of Battle Garegga and similar. Maybe it's nothing to write home about but it's quite well done and it actually plays very well, even with the awful 360 pad.
There is a shield counter instead of lives, and once you run out of that it's game over. Getting your ship damaged will decrease the multiplier and obviously hurt your score a lot. Using the burst (which is like a bomb) doesn't appear to damage the score that much, I'll have to check it in detail.
I still have no idea if the game has any, well, you know, 18+ content. It doesn't seem to thank god. I mean, there are already enough of those games, good to see Tony explore further territory outside of that sphere.
Well, looking forward for the final version. The trial contains full voice acting too!
