Hey everyone, I just joined these forums today. I'm a computer programmer and I've developed some Game mods and short Dōjin games. I decided to join the forum because I will soon be embarking on created a 3D Dōjin Touhou games mostly inspired by Terabyte's Touhou art depicting Touhou characters engadged in modern warfare. In order to develop good ideas as to how I will develop the game-play elements, character development, ideas, and so forth I will probably be asking ya'll opinions often as soon as I start the game development! Hopefully I'll turn out well!

I am quite curious about your ambient black metal project. Any youtube vids?

Haha when I get some done I'll send em your way. I might base some off of the Touhou MMD models that are already out there. Just edit them and optimize them for a gaming environment to save time

Ya actually, My ambient black metal project isn't really 'that' serious, some of the things I've made were parodies and what not. but here are a couple of vids





and then I have a project called Berserker which was originally a Trance/Folk Metal project but I'm working on an EP right now that will feature Vocaloids (Luka and Miku)

awesome =w=b

and yeah the MMD Models have been getting way better lately
(most notably Alice and Yuyuko)
I can imagine absurd poly counts for them though lol

well it's nothing that I haven't done before. I'm going for a touhou FPS, but I am thinking about somehow integrating the "bullet hell" gameplay somehow if I can, but I'm not sure how practical that would be in a 3D environment or how hard it would be to program that kind of data lol

Go the the Vanquish route. Look it up. Though that may be really time-consuming

no idea if you're using C to make that shooter but i can help a little in:
C++, python, java, LUA, even game maker if you use that

I am using C. I know nothing about python, java, or LUA, and Game Maker is coding for cheaters!!!!!!!
I could use the help though in C++. I never use C++, but I know it's practically identical to C, so it could help. I'm wanting to use C (or assembly if possible) because I want to port it to Windows, Linux and DOS.
