As much as I like lolis, I kind of agree that there shouldn't be very lewd loli images in sigs. Even if they follow the rules and they don't show genitalia or nipples. Getting branded as a pedo because someone is looking over your shoulder while lurking DS isn't cool.

Yeah. We all got to show some restraint. What looks good to some people might not for others. Especially with people from 'outside the internet' who aren't as tolerant, understanding, or generally as intelligent as us.

If your REALLY paranoid about your sexuality on a forum in a public area, then Doujinstyle is far from being "safe for work". I mean, seriously, 90% the guys here have female avatars... the general public would think: "oh is this forum for gay or sexually deviant people?"

Heh, never really noticed it. You know this other site I'm currently on only has a few members. Not one person currently active uses picture depicting women in any kind of sexual nature. And it's a Naruto site, so it has plenty of Otakus including myself. I usually spend my daytime on that site. Here, however I've always avoided till night when I'm alone. Simply because I refuse to turn off avatars/sigs unless I find them simply annoying in which case I just block the user.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me. But when I see an avatar and the picture is of a woman I assume the person is a female. If the picture is of man, I assume the user is a male. If the picture of some woman with cleavage I assume they're some kid hitting puberty or some creepy old man. I never once felt the need to put something I define as "sexy" in place of my avatar or sig. I just sadly never could comprehend why anyone else would want to until I read Grills' opening post. That being said I don't really care if someone wants to have some half naked loli in their sig. I'll just turn their specific sig off. However... Avatars is where it gets annoying. I mean, I don't wanna turn that off and I don't like blocking users simply because of one picture either.

But shit, if someone had that Velma picture as their avatar I'd block them in an instant. I mean, I like women too, I love sexy Velma, but I'll look at those kind of pictures on shady sites instead. If anyone catches me browsing this site and that's there then I feel really, really awkward. And it's not just awkward for you, the other people around feel just as bad. You just plain shouldn't put someone in that kind of position. :/
