As thousands would disappear...

He wondered why he was still here...

When it comes out here in a few months I'll let you know. Though also being from the UK, I guess you'd say the same.

simply put, you'll like it if you succumbed to the hype, but you'll LOVE it if you didn't.

No game is ever worth the hype it gets before release

The only way Brawl will live up to it's hype is if Jennifer Ellison delivers you your pre-ordered copy straight to your door

I don't think it really lived up to the hype. Well, thats what I used to think, but now that I play it with more than one and a half people every day, its okay.

The wifi is shit, though.

Why even the swimsuit?

I think it did a good job living up to the hype. Epic win in my opinion.

Thanks, Aya, for this 'immoral' signature! XD

Honestly, I'm going to have to agree with this statement. I followed the Dojo from day one up until the game came out in Japan and then I followed all the info that poured in after that. Once I got the game though, I didn't enter that total fanboy frenzy I had expected to. Don't get me wrong, I love Brawl, but I think I just grew a bit desensitized to the whole thing. I've already gone through SSE once and unlocked all the characters and am now going through completing challenges and such. I'm also thoroughly enjoying WiFi with a ton of my friends on KHI practically every night. It really is a great game with a ton of features and replayability, but if you followed every little detail about the game before getting it yourself, don't be too shocked if you are not entirely dazzled once you do.

Also, you couldn't even get the actual box art holy XD

As much hype there was... I was expecting something epic... After playing it... to me... it wasn't epic... it was just the same game with new characters, stages and the added Final Smash...

SSB:Brawl is an okay game but to me it's not special...

Well iunno... I just don't like SSB that much...

Well the Wii does have RE:4 and House of the Dead Collections... Are those childish to you?

Don't forget

*clears throat*

NO MORE HEROES

But seriously, anyone who actually is really thinking that Brawl is nothing special either can't play with friends, can't play online, or has his/her head stuck in a world where only PS3 and Xbox 360 exist.

Don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360 nor a Wii... Played a few times with friends at their place... Played a few people online...

Still thinks nothing really special...

The game is a drastic improvement over SSBM in the same manner that SSBM was a drastic improvement over the original on N64. The ONLY reason people would actually doubt that is because they were fed spoonfuls and spoonfuls of hype material. The more hype you succumb to, the more of the game you already know about, and therefore the less stuff you want to do('cuz you already know what it does) and the less fun you have, because you already had that fun seeing spoilers of the game's content.

The only thing I knew ahead of time about the game was that Snake would be in it and they replaced a few characters... =.=

The game just wasn't special from my point of view...

I'm in Europe, but I ended up importing and getting a freeloader.

And God was it worth it. Brawl is epic. I'm lucky enough to live in a household where it's easy to get 3 or 4 players together any time, so the fights are good, and the amount of content is just ridiculous.
I'm going to be at this for years.
This sig is empty.
There is nothing inside this sig.
You will not find anything inside this sig no matter how hard you try.

There were a lot of people out there that had agreed that the videos that were released as well as the content both were delivered very well, but no one knew what to expect when the game actually arrived on the shelves. There is a chance for any game that is released to turn out to be a bomb depending on how the company makes the gameplay itself, and I would definitely have to say that the game has lived up to the hype.

Now, I am not the avid SSB player that I was about five or six years ago, therefore I don't have as much of the knowledge of each character as I once did, but I enjoy the improvements on several of the characters that were lacking any development to begin with. Not only this, I am glad that there are a lot of customization options inside of the game which allows us to create our own stages as well as add a bit of personality to our battles. There are a lot of items that make a brawl even more interesting, and I am definitely grateful for that.

The only problem I ever came across was how good Jigglypuff had become in this game, I never expected to be flung across the screen in about 30 seconds courtesy of a Smash Ball while trying to unlock it in Event Mode. Go figure, but overall, I have not found a single character that isn't useful in some way, shape, or form. Even Mr. Game and Watch is now pretty much a solid character, and I have even beaten the game on the third difficult using R.O.B, so the improvements are amazing. (This coming from a guy who was never able to beat the game using Donkey Kong.)

In conclusion:

1. The game definitely delivers.
2. Online sucks as usual.
3. I suck at making stages, but my friends are awesome at it.
4. I remain undefeated with Lucas and Ness.
5. Interesting upskirt pictures found of Peach on Kotaku.
6. Lists suck.

Since when did "childish" become synonymous with "bad?"

Eh, the only problems I've had with online play is just general lag from playing people far away.
