you accidentally sold most of your troops once as well?
(that's the sell button, if you didn't figure it out)

2. Big Wave mode (they attack with larger armies)
3. ??? (enemies aren't aggressive and they all have melee attacks when they run into one of your guys)
4. ??? (they send the normal group of guys along with a few extra of a different kind at you)
5. ???
6. Boss Mode (they attack with only bosses... duh)
7. TD Mode (plays like a game of Tower defense)
8. Infinite mode (non stop wave after wave)

Makes sense, though not the best choice in the middle on an enemy onslaught.

Unless Range is massed, where Range > all
My method is a single small group of sakuyas which are highly upgraded. Remember, Upgrades power increase drop with increased levels relative to the enemy whereas more units increase linearly
As an added bonus, sakuya pwns bosses due to the fact that when highly upgraded, she stuns

like 10 or 20 Alices and 10 or 20 Suikas... Level them up like crap... You get very far in infinite mode...
Suika = mega tanks that spawn tanks...
Alice = massive army... more levels equals more Shanghais

1.spawn 1 'cheap' character that can survive by itself(Cirno?)
2.level up it(to 2 for now)
3.MASS the army of said character
4.level it up some more(if you're in 100k mode this could be done before the 1st wave)
4.5if you want more money, sell a few units of said character and upgrade it some more(repeat this process as far as lv 18 or so, where the sale value cap out at 99999)
5.sell those mass amount of characters, since the sale value is based on the level, you get more money back per unit sold(you'll be aiming for 99999 if possible)
6.repeat this process on as many characters as you want, enjoy the insane money you can get
EDIT:here's a pic of me taking down 100k on Lunatic, all at once -__-b yay army of crazy bunnies(and yes, I still have more money than I start with)

that trick is awesome indeed
lv123 kaguya

but can be this really be done in any other mode outside 100000 yen?
since you need an awefull lot of money to do this..

it just faces a few problems:
1.Time - obviously since you already start the countdown the enemies won't wait for you to sell that large army of roadblocks and buying + upgrading the new army, so speed is important
2.Mode - when you're on Easy or such, it's already hard enough to get a 20-30 group of Cirno to level 6 before you win, so in those mode you'll most likely play normally(the unlimited mode is obviously another matter)
3.Enemies - yeah, you're trying to get enough money to upgrade an army of 100 lv 2 Cirno, but those lv5+ waves are plowing through them like Lily in winter, so you don't have the leisure of building an army too large
p.s. I'll take on your lil Kaguya army with my killer lolis

unlimited mode is another story.. though the progress to get lv100+ unit is really going slowly.
oh man.. in 100000 yen mode, getting the unit to lv100+ require many finger work anyway.. and then when the game started.. it ended like only in a minute

They have a fullscreen mode. Most games that don't have the option to change to fullscreen can be put into fullscreen by hitting alt + enter...
