Does anyone know the clicking represents? It sounds to me like someone's fiddling with briefcase locks, but I doubt that's it. It's kinda driving me up the wall, like I should know what it is.

Sounds like metal grinding on metal or a rock. It also has the sound of a metal chain link jingling.

like the wheels of a rolling briefcase/luggage case grinding against the hard asphalt of the ground

you can say it was trying to add some sense of modern realism into a necrofantasia song because it's Yukari and she can go to the real world

or you can say it's t=node and yea it's t=node

I would say it's probably stepping. The consistency of the steps is bad, but the sound of rolling wheels on the ground should be more mellow and less CRUNCH... krackle krackle CRUNCH.

ok, not-so-smooth rocky asphalt, and if it were steps he would have to be grinding his shoes along the ground to make it sound like it is in the song :U
