There's no absolute way to confirm this one way or the other.

In a sense, you never see anything or experience anything in the exact same way as someone else given that neural processes are shaped by one's life experiences. There's a really cool TED talk about the idea of a "connectome," a sort of library of neural connections that dictates our behavior and how we experience the world.

EDIT: For convenience, the relevant part is just a 30 second blurb at about the 3:00 mark. It's a cool video, though, for whoever's interested.

So I made a tumblr dream log for a friend of mine, but then I realized that all I dream about is nerdy stuff. BUT THAT'S NORMAL FOR DOUJINSTYLE SO YOU SHOULD HAVE A READ

Hmm, "neurotypical perception"(aka "normal thinking") is talked about in the adhd and autistic community all the time; usually in a negative light. It's okay to think you're a special little flower, but I personally hate seeing them stereotyping NTs as mindless conforming idiots. The main reason I don't really like hanging around such forums for long.

Try this quiz: http://www.gotoquiz....typical_are_you

That being said, I don't really think it's something that can easily be confirmed, and it shouldn't really matter anyway. Try not to let it bother you so much.

Double everything. EVERYTHING. Most importantly twice as much AP per level, which is so ridiculously broken that it basically makes you reluctant to train any time there isn't double-rainbow for fear that you'll be too high-leveled to benefit when there is one.

The simpliest answer is that everybody sees and thinks in their own fashion. There are moments when we feel like we see things in similar ways, but remember that the way we see and think is based on several factors, including our experiences, our knowledge, and even our genetics.

I agree with this statement. It's also often the reason why misunderstandings happen.

One person says something, thinks someone else will know what he means based on his own experience - The other person doesn't, because he expects something completely different based on his own experiences and way of thinking.

It happens a lot and it's only one example.

Yes, I agree with what is said. There are many factors that lead to each person thinking in different ways.

Also about the test, I got 51%. Does anyone else wanna post what they got?

The best part was this.

When a player casts a spell, you will see the hand gesture is that of how homosexuals fling devil DNA juices at each other after a long night of fecal frenzy ass assassinations. This is subliminally teaching your children that they need to go in their rooms, demon whack their sin staff and produce sin milk into their hands and than fling it in the face of the first person they come in contact with after their taint tugging session.

Da fuck? Why is this quiz making judgment calls on my personality and social skills based on 20-something multiple choice questions? How can you even gauge social skills without, well... talking to someone?

Mind --> Boggled

60%, btw.

Case in point as to why I think this quiz deal is incredibly inaccurate.

I decided to take a look at some things.

Apparently, neurotypical is actually a measurement of cognitive ability used to determine how autistic somebody is. Based on this criteria, people can be fully functional, even intelligent, and still have autism.

But yes, inaccurate quiz is inaccurate.

23% but I don't know how people can qq about it's accuracy. All the answers are drop dead obvious as to which are considered typical or not.

It's basically asking you "on a scale of 1 to 10 how social do you think your are?"... Then telling you what you told IT.

Unless people mean the written summary is inaccurate.

Anyway, I have noticed that there are certain things in life that seemingly EVERYONE likes/dislikes. For example, I don't know ANYBODY that does t like the feel of soft fur. Nor do I know anybody who likes the nails on a chalkboard sound. In situations like these you can know what pretty much anybody in that situation feels (or at least one thing).

That's the point. If the answer is obviously one way or the other, it's no longer a question of just putting down what you agree with the most. It's more of an exercise in putting down what you perceive to be the "right" answer. Not to mention all of the choices being fairly extreme and not very nuanced. Asking someone how social they think they are tells you fuck all about how social they actually are. You can't be the best gauge of your sociability because you can't socialize with yourself. So the options become: put down what you think you are or put down what you think you should be. A modest person would grossly underestimate their own sociability and an arrogant person or a liar would grossly overestimate it.

Ahh I see, though I find all multiple choice personality questions to suffer that. This one didn't strike me as any more of a culprit.

Precisely. My hatred of multiple choice surveys goes far beyond studies on psychology. It's a test designed for convenience as opposed to accuracy, making it great for highly generalized statistical data, but horrible for drawing any sort of definitive conclusions. It's also the worst thing that's happened to public education in the past 50 years...
