Truth be told, when I read the first act, I actually looked at the girls based on their personalities, not their disabilities.
Hanako was the meek, needed-somebody-to-love-her kind of person.
Shizune was the tough, go-to, charge-in kind of person.
Emi was like Shizune, but less bitchy and more cute.
Lilly is the elegant, motherly woman.
Rin is... uh...

Finished routes so far:
-Emi (This was a little annoying because of Emi's stubbornness)
-Shizune (I managed to get to the bad end, yeah, script on Shizune is pretty bad)
-Hanako (This is probably the best route, easy to take care of, cute as well)

Damn, why did my laptop have to break? The only thing stopping . me from finishing shizunes route is the fact that im playing on the family computer.

And shizune isn't actually bitchy SithOsiris. It only seems that way until you can understand her.

There's no way her route is written that bad. I've been enjoying it so far.

Chagen pretty much said that you can't love disabled people because they ARE disabled.

Which means we should isolate disabled people because they are weird.

On topic, I want to discuss the main character.

After clearing 3/5 routes so far, that being Emi, Hanako, and Rin I think I understand Emi's perspective of our main character. I also think her route probably discusses the biggest flaw of our main character. Rin's route delves slightly into this as well, but not as much. Or does it differently.

Our main man has always lived normally till his heart attack. Overall, his condition doesn't outwardly affect him, and as long as he takes his medication and some exercise, he's generally healthy. He tends to forget about his condition (very obvious). He worries about the other girls though. While not a negative trait, it also tends to be the reason why the girls don't like him at times (and by our player's route decisions). Emi calls him a wannabe "white knight" who wants to protect everyone. Rin says she can't be herself around him because of his own expectations of her (encouraging the exhibiton, high admiration).

I just want to see if anyone else noticed this or thought about it. DId it affect your psyche a little bit? Or not at all? I know it affected mine slightly.
I think I'm liking this game for making the main character a flawed one. And it's acceptably flawed. It isn't because he's a cliched idiot who can't read the atmosphere, nor is he someone who instantaneously makes up for his mistakes (on occasion, but not very often, especially during certain route decisions). Just a guy who has an internal problem, forgets about it, but its as if he's putting down the girls because he can see their physical disability. Until he learns his lesson.

I kinda like that the main character is like that. It shows that he has his flaws and it shows how a person would realistically respond when put in such situation. It's also fun to see how he changes and improves himself differently in every route.

Oh and another thing I like is it has closure for other characters that you don't go after. Here's an example.

I finished Hanako's route first and saw how she improved along with Hisao. When i went to Lilly route next I was kinda worried about how Hanako would respond to it. I was glad to see that she improved anyway but in a different manner. In short I like how it still works out for other characters even without direct attention from the main character.

It's the same reason also to why I liked Clannad. Despite Nagisa being the canon choice you got to see how everybody else is and that they're doing splendidly (probably more so than Tomoya initially).
