And does absolutely nothing good for my psyche. I can't believe my dad actually expecte me to agree with this bullshit.

Put it TMS because I have that little respect for this bigot and his asinine opinion.

But it's true? I don't get why it's bigoted and asinine.

Quote

Playing baseball games without keeping score.

Retarded coddling

Quote

Parents not allowed to cheer for one side or the other at basketball games.
Oh more coddling.

Quote

Refusing to use red ink to grade tests because it's too jarring.
..... wat

Quote

No dodgeball.
Okay what.

Quote

Participation trophies.
Trophies? What. You get a participant prize yeah sure, but everyone 'winning'? Ahh uhh...

Quote

Telling kids, "You're special," without their doing anything to show they're special.
Oh yes a terrible disservice to kids, coddling and sheltering them and making them vacant, without drive.

Quote

Newsflash: You may be special to God, your mommy, and your teacher just because you were born, but the rest of us aren't impressed.
That this yet again, in 2012 is spelled out, in a newspaper, is telling of the state of children today. Terrible.

Quote

The world doesn't owe you a living, a promotion, or any special consideration at all. The people who tell you otherwise are doing it because they think you're stupid, easy to manipulate, and they want to use you for their own purposes.

This might sound awfully pessimistic, but unfortunately it is a realists viewpoint. Sad but true.

Oh, but what about the lucky ones, you say? The lazy, good-for-nothing punk kids who just happened to be born in the right family and live a life of luxury as a result?

That's life. Life's life.

and some more exposition about that etc...

Quote

I hate to break this to you, but they may have told you a lie. Think back; what did you actually do that was so special? Were you an all-state quarterback? Did you carry your team to victory on your shoulders in a HI IQ Bowl competition? Did you set a state record for selling chocolate bars to support the school band?

No. Why would these be desirable achievements?

Quote

Those are the sort of achievements that should build self-esteem.

No, these are the signs of being a stressed out kid attention starved and desperate for their parents approval.

Quote

That's because the right way to build self-esteem is by finding something you want to do, becoming better at it than most other people, realizing it, and then feeling a sense of specialness as a result of your accomplishments.

Well okay, you're back to being sensible. That's great. Because this is great and entirely correct.

Quote

Instead, what we call "building self-esteem" has become nothing more than giving children a false sense of confidence. Oh, little Johnnie, you were born in America! That means the world is your oyster! Oh, you graduated from high school; that's great! Then you graduated from college? With a degree in Art History? Wow, that's really amazing! Just stand there long enough and your reward is sure to fall from the sky, wrapped in a bow, right into your waiting hands!

Lolololol world is your oyster. Hahaha.

some nice stuff about how people want what they can't have and can't pace themselves.

Quote

The same certainly can't be said about the Baby Boomers. As a group, they were inferior to their parents in almost every way that mattered. They were less Godly, less moral, less charitable, less patriotic, less industrious, less ambitious, lazier....but they would certainly never admit that to themselves. So, they looked at the very, very limited subset of things that they did better than their parents and they created a pseudo-morality based on tolerance, diversity, and “not being mean." That's an extraordinarily thin group of minimally important virtues for any group of people to hang their hat on, but it's what they had to work with.

Yeah. Baby boomers are FUCKING CANCER. Worst of the worst!

Quote

Suddenly, the guy who worked 70 hours a week for decades, saved all his money, and invested it or started his own business -- he's the bad guy.

He is? When did this happen? Oh this is about OWS isn't it. Oh yes it is.

Quote

he problem with society isn't the people paying taxes and creating jobs; it's the non-contributors with a huge sense of entitlement who think they should be able to make a good living off the sweat of someone else's brow. Your envy, your endless excuses, and your embrace of victimhood are sickening and unmanly. Grow up.

Yes. As much as I oppose corporations having too much power, too much money, OWS is going on about all the wrong ways. The only way to change the system is changing it from the inside. Not by LARPing as a hobo bioball.

That being said, OWS is in many ways justified, but the reason people make a fuss out of entitled manbabies is because, well, shit, lots of people take everything for granted and can't handle real life. The whole 1% fucking up the economy thing is legit, it's there. Corps made it happen.
If people weren't told they were special, if they had to work to get somewhere, if they were taught morals and not just mindless self indulgence.

And OWS and the 1% fucking over everyone else will KEEP HAPPENING as long as people coddle and shelter the fuck out of their kids.

Blablah... socialism/liberalism/communism/nazism makes people lazy ...blablah

When a player casts a spell, you will see the hand gesture is that of how homosexuals fling devil DNA juices at each other after a long night of fecal frenzy ass assassinations. This is subliminally teaching your children that they need to go in their rooms, demon whack their sin staff and produce sin milk into their hands and than fling it in the face of the first person they come in contact with after their taint tugging session.
