Outside of hands-free they want all use of cellular phones to be banned. Talking, texting, anything period outside of a Bluetooth device.

We can't either, whether you're the driver or not (Even though that's only technically. No policeman's retarded enough to give a fine for passengers). I don't really use it so I don't mind though.

Is it wro-wrong that I think it's kinda fun when I hit you in the back of the head with a gun?

I'm fine with this, we've had quite a few accidents around here this year that were caused by people messing with their phones while driving

Canada busses all the time, though. I hear very few that actually get their licenses at my age. >_>

Still not enough buses. There are still not enough buses. Fucking getting left out at -20C temperatures for an hour waiting for a bus that might or might not come. FUCK

I'm fine with it. It's a shame for the people who only do it at stop lights, or for when it's actually an emergency, but too many people are just fucking idiots to allow them to be used.

My dad got a haircut today. I told him not to! Now it's even harder to tie a bow in his hair! He said he asked the person giving the haircut to just cut his hair a little, but she ended up cutting it much more than he wanted her to. Ugh, women can't do anything right. They really should stay in the kitchen.

First word that popped into my head when I read the title - "Good". Though I do hope they make allowances for emergencies. Phone companies keep track of conversational records right? If so it'd be easy enough to verify.

Not so much where I live, I've heard of accidents happening.

I got my drivers license when I turned 16, but mostly so I would have a form of ID :V

They don't give a flying fuck about unrestricted censorship of the internet but banning cell phones in cars is suppressing people?

Talking (using one hand) and texting should have been banned a long time ago.

TEXTING? SERIOUSLY? I'd say "these idiots deserve to be in car wrecks, let them text" but they're endangering innocent non-texters so I can't say I'd agree with myself :X

I personally cannot agree with talking on a phone, but the texting issue is a no-brainer.

No matter how much you prevent people from using "distracting" devices in their cars, you can't fix their stupidity. Also the reason why people would be against this is because it could be a gateway for more regulations that inconvenience(or dare I say control) individuals in the future.

Fine, as long as they don't ban usage when you're a passenger. I don't want to be arrested just because I was using my Iphone in my dad's car while he is the one driving.

Hm....but my mom frequently calls my dad when he's driving...and vice versa....we have a lot of thing we need to cordinate between each other. Eh, they'll just use me as a middleman.

I see the talking part of the phone thing as PHYSICALLY distracting. You should always have both hands at the wheel. I don't mind hands-free devices.

Depends if you're actually used to stick-shift driving. I have ever since I started driving when I was 15, so I was used to the concept of only using one hand to drive. Underhanded, even (left hand on 7 O'clock).

Still, that depends on if the majority actually have the capacity to do that and be comfortable with it. They aren't.
