Meh, always thought that physical punishment on kids it's just a bad method of teaching them how to behave. It's just plain wrong, especially with that much force

No, it's really just random people with the same objective in mind. Hence, Anonymous.

I believe Anonymous is simply a bunch of internet alphas who couldn't probably can't speak their way out of a wet paper bag in real life. It's a classic reason for anonymity. They think they can do what they want under some fake identity they put up. These are not people you find actively involved with anything in their community. Therefore, I know that it lacks organization. Also, it's a paradigm that is intended to NOT get anything done. When a faceless organization commits crimes for "the greater good" do you really think people are going to respond? No.

That's why I really feel that Anonymous is just a group of people who get a kick out of living their life as alpha males via the internet.

Well, they're related to the original topic, since they plan on doing something to the Judge. Not totally irrelevant to the OP imo.

Well I hope he gets it.

But whats more concerning is that there are people willing to beat their own children because they're mad and they think that'll teach kids a lesson.

Title is more about "Judge Williams beats daughter for internet piracy" than any internet usage at all.

Not really. If you watch the video you can hear him blaming the act of simply owning a computer numerous times, which I find to be completely unfounded.

Bringing things back to the topic, while I know that the Judge's feelings about his own daughter committing a crime through piracy are extremely valid, his reaction is most likely not.

However, I still don't consider this to be valid terms to fire him nor do I see it as a valid reason for Anonymous to do anything about it.

But, chances are they will because they have gotten drunk on their own substandard form of "justice."

No, it's not.

Heroin is an illegal drug, but it is not illegal to have family issues. Should fire every law enforcement officer who has ever committed a crime before and paid their price for it? Should we fire every family counselor coming from a broken family background? Should we fire every teacher for failing a class in high school or college? I can go on, but I'm pretty sure you understand that it is completely ludicrous to shoot from the hip and fire people based on their past and not their present actions.

It's stupid to think that way. My initial thought was that this judge had just recently committed this act, but the fact is that the video was recorded quite a while ago and all the involved parties resolved the matter. Therefore, there is no reason to fire this judge.

What price did the guy fucking pay? Where were the authorities to fire him back when the abuse occurred? You're a fool if you think that this is related to the examples you posted. There's a huge difference between enacting judgment on another human being in a clearly abusive manner (i.e. if it happened in the middle of the street the guy would have been arrested on the spot) and having a criminal record for which you've already been punished. I'm not saying the judge should be thrown into prison or anything, but he clearly isn't fit to hold his position. It boggles my mind that you think there's no reason to fire this guy.

Or, to put it another, simpler way: it's not illegal to have family issues, but it is illegal to fucking beat someone with your fucking belt. And sure, forgive his past and all, but in what society do you think it's reasonable to elect people with a criminal record as a judge? If we want to improve issues like child abuse, it is our duty as a nation to make it very clear that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated within the government, let alone the specific branch that deals with these very issues. I'm mean, fucking hell, what would the guy have had to do to deserve being fired? Cripple his his daughter? Kill her?

So I made a tumblr dream log for a friend of mine, but then I realized that all I dream about is nerdy stuff. BUT THAT'S NORMAL FOR DOUJINSTYLE SO YOU SHOULD HAVE A READ

Having family issues and failing a grade aren't illegal, but child abuse is. As for police, I didn't even know you were able to become a cop if you had a criminal record.

In a lot of cases you aren't. Its why shows like csi and law&order use implications on main cast members as a point of drama in the shows...lots of positions feaqture a no-tolerance immediate dismissal if you're indicted for a criminal offense.

Yea mate, instead of "Daughter, you must not download illegal things like this, I cannot tolerate such acts." the faggot assed Judge started beating her with a belt, and psychologically turned her wife to start to scolding her too. And he didn't even tell her what was her mistake, and using "fuck" to your own child? Are you not human?

This guy is not being discipline, he's just having some stress at work and then let off some steam by beating the shit out of his own daughter.

You can't enter the police force with so much as a blemish on your record. AFAIR, even a simple DUI will make it so you can't enter the police force.

Depends on the infraction, but I do know cases in which former criminals have been able to get jobs in the criminal justice system.

Also, the key point is that the issue was resolved. No point bring up old shit that was already put to bed.

Geez, some people are saying "Maybe she did something to deserve it, maybe she was a bad girl who didn't listen to her parents." They're totally missing the point of the story though.

As for Anonymous. I'm all for them making the situation more known, but anything farther than that (i.e. illegal activities) I'm not cool with. Two wrongs don't make a right. Of course, the statute of limitations is past and the case is "resolved". The judge will mostly likely not receive any charges for his crime.
