I've always wondered what the process for getting tested for std's is like. What i mean is, what exactly do they do? draw blood, ask questions? How do you go about actually getting tested?
and no, i extremely doubt i have anything but i'd rather be safe then sorry.

I think your own doctor can answer that question better than I can. =p Since I don't know the standard procedures for that in your part of the world, although 95% likely blood tests will be involved.
And don't be embarrassed to ask him/her, they're trained for that sort of thing and you wouldn't be the first or the last. Or just go straight to a clinic.
And if you're even the slightest bit worried, the sooner you get it over with the better.

I got one and it was a blood test and a cotton swab that the put in your urethra for a few seconds (which kind of hurts). There are many different methods, but blood test is the most common test.
If you do get tested I have been told that you should try to go to a clinic (they are cheaper and anonymous). I would advise you not to do the home test kit though.
