Do you think that people are naturally attracted to their same race? I'm not going to put my opinion because I don't want to influence you any differently then from your original choice, and please don't read any replies til you answered the poll. Please be completely honest.

According to my old biology teacher, it is natural to feel attracted to the ones genetically similar to you for producing offspring.

I say yes.

I am half-white. I deal with mostly white people, and I've noticed that I have a preference for white girls over other races, barring East Asians and Slavic (some people don't consider them to be white) peoples.

It's kind of natural to be attracted to foreigners--there's the "exotic" allure, and you two are much less likely to have similar genes, resulting in more genetic diversity.

Bingo. I think. I know I am starting to grow an attraction towards asian girls, specifically Japanese. Don't know where it came from but it just did. I also still like white girls though. I would never ever ever date a black girl. I'm not racist, I'm just not attracted to that race.

It is very strange. Now that I have someone similar to me I think I can now safely say I have never found a black girl attractive. Not even one. Hope no one gets mad at me or accuses me of being racist for this...

Depends on the person really, different people are attracted to different races and some aren't. Personally, I'm white and am mainly attracted to east Asian and white girls, but can pretty much be attracted to any race depending on the person.

I think most people are, but many people (including myself) aren't like that. There are plenty of people who are attracted to other races, but on the whole people tend to like what they are.

Er... truth is, not really any. Good question. I have seen many though in person and thought they were very pretty. I don't think they would be interested in me though, in fact, I haven't seen many asian people interested in whites. I have a way way way better chance with a white person :l

I think it's natural to be both interested in other races and feeling more comfortable with your own.

In a genepool there will always be conservative beings and curious beings for the sake of evolution.

You, sir, make an awesome point. We can go the safe route and try to reproduce with the same race. OR we sometimes can be risky and try to evolve by trying with other races.

I don't think there's any race I can say with complete honesty that I'm not attracted to in some way. They all really have things I'm attracted to and things I'm not. I also don't think I'm more attracted to any single race. Plus I'm honestly mostly attracted to who someone is, not what they are. So maybe I'm an outlier in this case.

Coincidentally though, I am white and all of my previous partners have been white. I know correlation doesn't equal causation, but that's just something I've noticed.

I'm acttracted to hot and beautiful women who are easy to talk to. The result is I've dated and slept with four different races. I say no.

I am, however, not attracted to those whose cultural and behavioral nuances are too far away from what I know. Someone who lives in the US but finds it overwhelmingly important to isolate themselves to the culture of their homeland or a specific subculture are a big turn-off to me. I've dated an Indian girl, but don't think I'll be dating an Indian girl who only hangs out with Indian friends, still has an overwhelmingly Indian accent when speaking english, and only eats traditional Indian food. Same goes for the others I've been with.

I've always had a thing for black, or brown (Semitics, Arabs, black hair/dark skin etc) ladies. I mean as a preference over white people, which in America are sorta off setting because weight problems and stuff a lot of them have, so that I associate the dark skinned races with good health, and humility(, well not always).

I sometimes become infatuated with Asians too, specifically Chinese ladies with there round, soft faces.

We all look different, so there is no shame in a little bit of aesthetic preferences.
