It's freaking great that it is getting ported to PC, because it's a win-win for both type moon and the world. In reality, a fraction of 1% of the world or even America knows about Melty Blood. Porting it to PC makes the exposure easier than a console port, because importing ps2 games cost a crapload of money and I doubt anyone would be sane enough to do all the busywork for one game they haven't heard much about in the first place. For PC, you can either legally purchase the game or gank it from the net (the latter being the most obtainable).

As for it not being ported to PS3, that's like expecting Tsukhime 2 to come out. MB got this far, mostly because a large chunk of the sprites were recycled. Plus, the creators behind MB don't really have much experience in the netplay field unless they somehow got a hold of Mauve and hired him. Remastering everything to HD for MB would most likely be a nightmare and take at least a couple years of dedication to get it done. It would be awesome to see it on the PS3, but I don't see it happening for a long while. Just my two cents.

Which doesn't make it any more profitable for Sega/Ecole Soft as buying it is as hard as buying the PS2 version. Act Cadenza already gave it hype on PC, people already know about Melty Blood. People just didn't give a shit because they couldn't pirate it, including myself.

I am so excited for this. I play Melty a lot with my friends, and bring it to conventions/tournaments for other people to try. I've heard rumors that the guy behind MBAC's caster is considering making a MBAACC caster for Net Play. Oh so excited.

being a huge MB fan i stopped at nothing to get this game running on a PS2 emulator.
anyways i would totally import the PC games from japan, but i dunno shit about importing to be honest.

no netplay (wouldn't get my hopes up for a caster)
straight arcade port of build version so I doubt they balanced archetype

still. this is way better than an emulated rom.

It would be nice to see this ported to consoles and the vita with netplay in the future.

Theres still no word on the rom dumping of MBCC? I don't think any ring wide system rom has be dumped so didn't expect much, Oh well. Winter is sooner than you think.

OT but despite all the hate its getting, I think I might give Skull Girls a competitive whirl

I would be over 9000 times more hyped if ishiwatari was working on a new version of Guilty Gear. He killed all my hopes by releasing furry blue ( The shadow of GG and weaboos wet dream ) . He still makes quality bgms though. I wouldn't be surprised if a crossover was released in the future since they are getting more popular in the fighting genre now. We have an ultimate mvc3 and street fighter x tekken coming huh...
A sequel to the hokuto no ken fighter or a Jojo's update would be really bad ass too, but that isn't what sells now.

Wasn't Blazblue designed and its development directed by Toshimichi Mori and not Daisuke Ishiwatari? Also GG as a fighting game series is not dead, that much has been said. Blazblue kinda makes me sad as it has so much effort put into it with all the content but the basic gameplay just makes me wish I was playing GG instead.

Also for the record Toshimichi Mori also worked on Guilty Gear Slash, Accent Core and Accent Core Plus. Ishiwatari only worked on the series up until #Reload.

aksys has the rights to guilty gear now. if there is a new guilty gear it'll be by them, and they'll more than likely just do a blazblue x guilty gear cross over game.

I only hope ishiwatari continues to work with every game ost, he is the one that makes it so good.
