I have yet to play since the new update, but I do see some people whining about hackers on message boards and such. A bunch of my friends played a good amount last night and didn't see any, though. Doesn't mean it's not an issue that needs to be watched, though.

You see, I really don't mind the motion. If I want, I can still showw of my e-peen by constant top scores w/scout and my grizzled vetran badge in the few west coast servers I play.
My main concern is that this might promote hacking, more typical free play mmo kids, and a general increase in retardation among the already childish TF2 community.
Valve wasn't profiting the cost of updating from the initial game anymore, so why not make it free, and expand the player market to all those MMo kiddies who want ALL the items. (Fortunately for me, i've been a weapons collector since new weapons have been released, so I have all weapons, excluding this uber update)
Anywho, it's a fun game, and really this free notion really shouldn't be frowned upon. It doesn't change the gameplay whatsoever, (perhaps lower the skill cap a bit with the new players), but other than that, there really is not enough downside, to combat the upside.
