I just had a couple games, failed at a 1cc due to the final stage seeming to last forever. Started it with 4 lives, ended with.. well, a game over >=P.
Anyway, I've noticed some odd things. I personally, have no slowdown, at ALL...Yes, this means the game is mad hard, I noticed in the options menu there was a vsync and a clock setting, switching to clock made the background chug a bit for me, so I opted for vsync. Perhaps clock is what it used to be, and/or what aisha was using to get his own slowdown *shrugs*.
I also noticed that the lock on missles don't seem to be capable of locking on multiple times on the same target anymore, this is rather unfortunate since it added an element of strategy imo. Is there an item that fixes this? I noticed that in one of the "super" modes, they CAN lock on like 20 times on one target (in rapid succession as they are supposed to), but without it, I just get the standard 4 blast.
Last, I'm not really sure why the manual things "type-c" is good for beginners, it definitely seems like the inferior type. It has less weaponary, no homing attacks, no blade (which is actually a pretty cheezy tool in that you can get out of a sore position by doing that teleport-blade invincibility attack), and no super mode thingies which come with bullet chances without eating up bombs! I don't mind though, intentional imbalance can be fun at times, I know I love the imbalance in games like advance wars for example. Sometimes you want to play a gimp character for a challenge, and other times you feel like pawning face.
Next time imma play with the clock mode on so I can see how much slowdown I get. I hope it's like the old version and not some kinda wonky perma slow easymode.
No, I leave it on vsync. My FPS drops to 30-40 when there's a lot of stuff on the screen. I think it's intentional because if you watch TRIS-GRAM's video of Area 1 the same thing happens to him. It doesn't make the game any easier though.. haha.
As for an item shop translation, I made this after the 0.30 trial was released: pastebin.com/2fYKy11P Mind, I can't read Japanese any better than a mentally damaged chimp, so expect errors. Having said that, it's awkward to say that I might be able to put together an English manual since TRIS-GRAM's technical writing is pretty clear so I can make sense of about 90% of it.
It would be useful if everyone collaborated on putting together a list of unlockable accessories.
