It's hard to make the good choices the first time in order to have the maximum possible rings (it seems if you mess in the stage you loose rings at the end)

I've go to the escape level with 2 teams so far (B-rank), I love the previous boss, a kind of Black Kaguya yandere x)

If someone have the ost, it'll be kind to upload it, I love the musics of this game smile.gif

You haven't played too far into it, have you? On C-Rank difficulty alone? With your eyes closed and ears plugged?

I agree, the gaming experience might be rather dull in that case.

Yeah the patch checks to see if the game is installed or looks for the disk to patch it. If anyone has an ISO file or registry file for the game it would be appreciated.

I assume the patch simply checks the install location.

anyways registry key (for you to try out)
CODE
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\TWilight refrAIN_is1]
"InstallLocation"="C:\\TWilight refrAIN\\"

edit to the correct install path, put in a txt document, save it as a .reg and execute it. Probably won't work on vista.

If it doesn't work let me know and I'll upload the ISO to megaupload during the weekend.

I lost the iso myself (probably delted it to save space since my hard drives are almost full) but I found a torrent:
http://www.btmon.com/Games/Unsorted/C74.torrent.html

it contains a lot of things, and the twain iso is among it, I tested it, it's still seeded (went at 100kbps for me)

The Extra Stage in question. Huge spoiler, obviously.

Looks cool but still feels a bit underwhelming (pretty much like SA's Extra Stage) =( I simply can't quite scratch the feeling that these games try to milk off Touhou with the girls-only theme and the IN-like character switching system, plus the barrages are sometimes a bit 'meh'... and god, did anyone see the gigantic, monstrous hat of the Stage 2 loli? I was kinda expecting people to jump out of that thing.

Anyway, the music is pretty and it's a fun game with cute art and neat effects... It's just RefleX and DE left me totally biased. ;_;

Need to play it more along with Flying Red Wine Barrel as I'm more than welcome to give stgs second and even third chances. Heh. (happened with Jets 'N' Guns)

the girls-only theme

It should be noted that one of the playable characters is male. Also in TWINS that was the same case (Though it was more obvious) plus I'm pretty sure Yuki was also male.

I liked the giant witch hat.... it was cute =X

Also you didn't notice the her options were wearing the hat too? I thought you would not that as well =/

LOL!

Man, I'm blind. Nope, didn't notice that. Thanks for mentioning it.

And... some of them are male? O_o

If so, man, I'm blind.

Ok, I take back everything then.

Thus, let's go to some questions: which of the twins teams do you people think is the best/most appropriate to 1cc the game? Or they are all equally good?

edit: mmm, does anyone have a comlpete changelog of all the stuff added in successive patches? I noticed the game peaked version 2.00 already.

edit2: come on, this image should at least make people smile ;D

Also, I think I found my preferred team.

Mikahashi Sisters are probably the best to 1CC since they're easy to use and have high firepower which helps for scoring too.

Shizukuishi & Tsugomori I recommend as well since the homing shots are the best, their magic is pretty bad though and the swerving shot isn't as good as it was in TWINS.

The Kirishima Brothers (Yes I know!) I can't really find much incentive to actually use them aside from their powerful magic.

Don't worry about it, I hadn't noticed either and was pretty surprised to find out. It's impossible to tell by yourself.

Fully second Goshi's post, by the way.

Ah, then I'm relieved. But, damn, stuff like this sometimes induces mistakes and makes me prejudge, which isn't too good ^^;;;

I began playing this more and it's growing on me quite fast. In short, I'm really liking it.

Now, the third pair of twins are... BROTHERS? <<< I swear I saw one of those using a miniskirt and dress if I'm not wrong? xD

Also had another question but I'm too lazy to browse through the entire thread (though I'll soon):

You get to make some decisions between stages. Some of them have a red indicator telling you +3 and then it adds rings to your ring count. Now, since this is a japanese game getting positive signs can actually mean a bad thing so: what is the purpose of these rings? I hope they aren't like the token/stella and the other counter you had to keep down in HellSinker in order to avoid entering the Shrine of Farewell too early.

That is one of the requirements in which path you take in the game. If your ring count is high (like up 10+ by the end) you will get to see all C stages and to the True Ending.

Its the two with the pinkish hair. The one wearing the robe and and has the ponytail is pretty understandable since that's pretty normal for a male. The one that looks like a witch though might be Bridget.... O_O

Nonsense! Kirishima Mizuki is a girl, because boys don't have breasts. It's entirely possible that she is the doujin STG scene's first ever transgender character, yet at the same time not very likely at all. (image saved as worthless dithery .gif because I don't care enough to pull the game up and take another screenshot)

Unrelatedly, I'm very confused that someone can have trouble identifying Narumi's gender. He's a boy, he has a boy's face and he has no breasts. ... Okay, he has a very girlish anime boy's face drawn by an artist with an elementary grasp of anatomy, but he still doesn't have any breasts. What's the deal, guys? :(
