TH08 – Imperishable Night
(English pre-patched: For proper font display, you should go to the “Regional & Languages” menu, and install East Asian Language files from the the “Languages” tab. I don’t recommend you set your unicode to Japanese though, as the text may get cut off in the text boxes.)
(Note: The BGM is switched to “off” by default. Turn the BGM on in the options menu.)
what program do i use to open
Use hjsplit program to combine all parts of the file and then extract the game by using winRAR or 7zip.
When you’ve downloaded all 5 parts, Put them in new folder on your desktop. The original file was broken into smaller pieces, so you need to combine them. Use the program hjsplit.
When you open this program, hit “join”, hit input and find the folder. It should only see the first file, that’s OK. On output, make sure to just extract desktop, not the input folder. It will take a while.
Once completed, use the program WinRAR to extract to another folder. It should be labeled IN. Once completed, open the folder and there will be different file types, scroll down to the file called “TOUHOU8.IN.ENGLISH.TRANSLATION.PATCH.v1.0-NDT” then execute it. You will have to install the patch in the same folder as your game. Hit “install”, cmd will pop up askin about a restore/backup or something. Just hit “y” then wait a while, then it will be done. Then open the game folder and execute “th08″. Enjoy!!!:D

Double click it and you will be in the english patch installation menu. “Note” in order for the English patch to work, you need to install it in the same folder as the game itself, otherwise it will not work. Hit “install”, then cmd will pop up asking about a restore/ backup or something. hit “y” for yes, then wait a couple of minutes then it will say “finished, press any key to continue. Do so and cmd should disappear then go into the game folder and find “th08″ application to run the game in English. Enjoy!!!:D
Here’s the way I do it: I create a file folder, then download all the files. I then extract them in order (lowest to highest numbers) into the previously mentioned file folder. When it asks if I want to overwrite, I press yes.
This method seems to work for me.
Is there a full savegame for this with all Spellcards in Practice Mode unlocked?

Can anyone post a detailed tutorial for me? I have a Mac with Split & Concat, along with 7zip. If anyone could post a tutorial for a mac, that would be great ^_^
This Touhou game has really sticky controls compared to the others…
anyone know where we can get this game without the patch? I want to play it in Japanese but everywhere I go the game is patched.
T~T I’ve downloaded my IN game on media fire and there were 5 files. But when I extracted it with no problem and patched it, there was no bgm.. Please reply on how to fix this, or give me a link of a working IN game.
